Human Rights Center: Deporting Jerusalemites from their city is a war crime

Jerusalem24 – The Center for the Defense of Freedoms and Civil Rights “Hurryyat” condemned the successive deportation decisions of the Israeli occupation authorities against the Jerusalemite citizens.

A statement by the Center said on Wednesday that deporting Jerusalemites from Jerusalem is an attempt to empty it of its residents to pass the part related to it in the deal of the century and deny them their natural right to reside in their homeland and defend their city and their holy sites against Judaization confront settlement and confront the daily crimes of the occupation.

The statement added that the decision to deport Jerusalemite families in Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan and others is a war crime that must be addressed and the perpetrators of the Israeli political, military and judicial levels to be held accountable.

‘Hurryyat’ also condemned the policy of house arrest, especially for children, house arrest, and internal deportation, and the deportation of Jerusalemite citizens Anwar Obeid and Ahmed Derbas for the third time from their place of residence in their town of Issawiya, and the prohibition of contacting their families and friends.

The statement also called on the international community, especially the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the European Union, China and Russia, to urgently intervene and pressure the occupation authorities to force them to stop their crimes and to retreat from this policy.
