General Strike in Jabal Mukabber

Jerusalem24 – This morning, Thursday, a general strike was called for in the town of Jabal Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem in protest against the policy of demolishing homes by the occupation.

Shops closed their doors, while banners were hung in the town expressing the residents’ protest of attempts to displace them through the intensification of demolitions.

In recent weeks, the town’s residents have been organizing several mass vigils in front of the Israeli municipality of the occupied city in rejection of the increased tempo of the policy of house demolitions.
