Israeli forces suppress a protest in Sheikh Jarrah

Jerusalem24 – Yesterday, Saturday, the Israeli forces suppressed a peaceful protest in the “Sheikh Jarrah” neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem, against the policy of forced displacement of the neighborhood’s residents.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli forces suppressed the participants in the vigil, by firing dozens of stun grenades and sewage water at them.

Dozens of Jerusalemites participated in the vigil, who chanted slogans condemning the practices of the occupation and forced displacement, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Silwan town in the center of occupied Jerusalem.
