Journalist shot by Israeli soldiers and dozens suffocated North of Al-Bireh

Jerusalem24 – A Palestinian journalist was shot by an Israeli soldier, and dozens of people suffocated during clashes today, near the Beit El military checkpoint, North of the city of Al-Bireh.

Eyewitnesses reported that, Yousef Shehadeh, photojournalist Yousef was hit by a rubber coated steel bullet in the foot. He was shot while covering the clashes between the Palestinian youths and the Israeli soldiers who fired tear gas towards a demonstration that left Birzeit University towards the checkpoint. The demonstration was condemning the occupation’s aggression, and the death of 5 young men yesterday in Jerusalem as well as Jenin, in the Occupied West Bank.
