Palestinian detainee in precarious health condition
Jerusalem24 – On Monday evening, Lawyer Jawad Boulos said that the detainee Miqdad al-Qawasme, who has been on hunger strike for 68 days, has been transferred to the Israeli “Kaplan” Hospital with a worrying and dangerous health condition.
Boulos, who tried to visit the prisoner Miqdad, in the hospital added in a statement issued by the Prisoner Club, that the guards did not allow him to visit him face to face. He was only able to see him from a distance, after they claimed that there was no coordination; in a new attempt to obstruct his visit.
He pointed out that after meeting the doctors in the hospital, they affirmed to him about the worrying and dangerous symptoms that had begun to appear on the Qawasme. They also told him that his awareness of what was going on around him had begun to diminish, and that he had recently relied only on water.
It is noteworthy that the 24-year-old Miqdad Al-Qawasma, from Hebron, has been detained since January 2021. He is a former detainee who was arrested several times, and spent a total of about four years between sentences and administrative detention in the occupation prisons.
