Israeli forces demolish house in Bedouin community
Watchdogs: "Demolition is tantamount to forced displacement of residents."
Jerusalem24 – This morning, Wednesday, the Israeli military forces demolished a house in the Bedouin “Wadi Abu Hindi” community, located between Jerusalem and the town of Bethany, also known as Al-Eizariya, overlooking the Israeli settlement of “Kedar”.
The house targeted for demolition is owned by Omar Suleiman, whose father is detained in Israel’s prisons.
Officials and activists following up on settlement activities emphasized that the demolition of homes in the Bedouin “Wadi Abu Hindi” community is tantamount to the forced displacement of residents by the Israeli authorities.
The Israeli forces demolished the “Wadi Abu Hindi” community in the late 1990s, it was then rebuilt, and it has always faced demolition orders.
