Success Story: Tacolada

It was not easy as a young woman to be taken seriously running a food truck in Ramallah.

Jerusalem24 – Dina Amin – Dana Abu Koash is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who opened her own taco truck –  Tacolada, which serves tacos and pina coladas – in Ramallah after Covid-19 struck. She also just graduated from Al-Quds Bard college with a degree in international law and human rights.

It was not easy as a young woman to be taken seriously running a food truck in Ramallah.

Nevertheless, she was determined to succeed despite challenges from society. She wanted to be able to bargain, push through, and reach her goals.

Dana gives an important piece of advice for those who have an idea but are scared to start: “It’s all about believing in yourself indefinitely: you’re going to have so many hurdles along the way, so many factors could stop you. But if you keep going and keep a steady pace, it’s going to work out.”
