Settlers storm mountaintops near Nablus
Jerusalem24 – Today, Wednesday, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the archaeological site of Barnat, on top of Mount Ebal in Nablus.
The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern occupied West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, reported that dozens of settlers stormed the aforementioned site to hold celebrations on the occasion of the Hebrew “Passover”, amid the closure of some intersections leading to the area.
This comes a day after the storming of Jabal al-Qubaybat in Burqa, northwest of Nablus.
Daghlas added that the settlers claim that there is an “altar” on top of Mount Ebal, in an attempt to impose a fait accompli for their settlement ambitions. He also stressed that the settlers have tried more than once to establish a settlement outpost in the area and failed to do so as the residents prevented them.
