Jerusalem24 – Israeli media tackled the latest developments in the file of concluding a new prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and Israel.
The Hebrew channel “Kan” said, quoting Egyptian sources, that an expected meeting will be held by mediators with Israel regarding concluding a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
the channel emphasized that the Israeli occupation authorities had changed their position on the condition of linking the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip to the issue of prisoner exchange.
Last Friday, the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, said that negotiations on a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas are “complicated and facing difficulties.” The newspaper also pointed out that each of the parties stick to its demands.
In the same context, the deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, announced on Friday that the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa prison and were re-arrested will be on top of the next deal, and this is not just an announcement.
