Draft law to ban raising the Palestinian flag in Israeli universities

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli Ministerial Committee for the Legislation of Laws approved a bill on Sunday morning prohibiting the raising of the flag of an “enemy country” inside any university campus or institution included in the government’s budget.

This includes the Palestinian flag.

According to the Hebrew Channel 7, the bill will be submitted to the Knesset plenary for a preliminary reading by Likud member Eli Cohen.

The bill comes days after the repeated raising of the Palestinian flag inside the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at Ben-Gurion University by young Jerusalemites and others inside the Green Line.
