Palestinians clash with Israeli soldiers all over the West Bank
Israeli forces used live ammunition against the protesters
Jerusalem24 – Overnight, Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers at various locations throughout the West Bank. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, dozens of Palestinians were injured, many were shot by the Israeli forces with live ammunition.
Clashes were reported north of Ramallah, at the DCO checkpoint, where nine people were shot by rubber-coated metal bullets, and at Qalandia checkpoint, south of Ramallah, where 37 people reported shot by rubber bullets.
In the northern West Bank, violent clashes were reported in Jenin with one person shot by a live bullet in the thigh and others treated for teargas suffocation. Two were shot by live bullets in Nablus area, one in the thigh and the other in the foot, and another shot by a live bullet in the hand in Tulkarm.
The Southern West Bank also saw protests and clashes. Seven people were shot by live bullets during clashes in Hebron, and 10 others by rubber coated steel bullets. One person was hit by a tear gas canister in the chest near Bethlehem.
The clashes erupted in protest against the Israeli forces’ violent crackdown on worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
