Jordan Summons the Israeli Ambassador Over Al-Aqsa
Jerusalem24 – The Jordanian Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador to protest against the Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem.
Jordanian channel, Al-Mamlaka, quoted Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, today, Monday, that Jordan summoned the Israeli ambassador to inform him of his country’s condemnation of Israeli actions in the Haram al-Sharif area (Al-Aqsa mosque compound) in Jerusalem.
He added: “We summoned the Israeli ambassador, and today we will summon the Chargé d’Affairs to inform him of our strict and clear message in which we condemn the Israeli actions.”
The Jordanian minister indicated that Jordan will host next Thursday a meeting of the Arab League committee to confront “illegal Israeli measures” in Jerusalem and its holy sites.
Al-Safadi warned that if Israel did not stop “these illegal measures and their violations”, it would bear the responsibility for the explosion that would come.
The decision to summon the ambassador of the occupying country comes as national events in Jordan continue their solidarity with Al-Aqsa and its massive demonstrations until the end of Ramadan.
