Israeli settlers rebuild settlement
They were supported via a donation campaign
Jerusalem24 – Israeli settlers have reconstructed houses in two outposts near Ramallah after 20 structures within them were demolished a few days ago to implement a judicial decision, as they were illegal.
According to the Israeli daily newspaper, Haaretz, these outposts were evacuated last Monday. The settlers had returned to construct new buildings funded by a donation campaign that collected 320 thousand shekels so far.
According to the newspaper, Israeli Member of Knesset, Bezalel Smotrich was one of the people supporting the campaign. He appeared in a video clip encouraging and promoting donations for the rebuilding.
Haaretz reported that the evacuation of the outpost is carried out against a valid “demarcation order,” according to which it is forbidden to rebuild, bring in construction vehicles, or stay in them. However, the Israeli police and military do not implement these decisions regularly.
