Through popular vote, Hala Tannous becomes first woman elected as a Synod Council Member in the Lutheran Church

Jerusalem24 – The Lutheran Church has voted in its first woman in the Church Council. Hala Tannous is an active member of the Lutheran Community who was voted into the Church Council.

The Lutheran Church had female members in minor seats on committees, but never in a seat as a part of the Church Council.

The Church Council shall have general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation. It also aims to fulfill the church’s mission and oversee and provide administrative support, learning, and advancement of the congregation.

In this episode, we speak to Hala Tannous, an active member of the Lutheran Church in Ramallah, and the first woman elected as a Synod Council Member.
