Injuries in clashes at northern entrance to Al-Bireh
Jerusalem24 – 12 Palestinians were injured, during clashes that erupted between the Israeli occupation forces at the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with 12 injuries during the ongoing confrontations, at the northern entrance to Al-Bireh.
The Red Crescent Society stated that 5 were hit by rubber coated metal bullets, and 7 were hit by gas canisters.
Local sources stated that the Israeli army, stationed at the Beit El military checkpoint, which is located on citizens’ lands north of Al-Bireh, fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at participants in a student march that left Birzeit University.
The march condemned the arrest of five Birzeit students by Israeli special forces and wounding one of them with live ammunition yesterday in front of the university’s northern entrance.
