Ben & Jerry’s will end sales in Occupied Palestinian Territory
The announcement came in a statement published on their website.
Jerusalem24 – Ice cream giant, Ben & Jerry’s, announced today that it will no longer distribute its products in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. They did not, however, specify what the Occupied Palestinian Territory was.
In an official statement published on their website, they announced that, “we believe it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). We also hear and recognize the concerns shared with us by our fans and trusted partners.”
In the statement, they also announced that “Although Ben & Jerry’s will no longer be sold in the OPT, we will stay in Israel through a different arrangement.” They will later announce what the arrangement will be, as no further details were disclosed.
