Israeli military storms Jenin amid clashes and threatens the family of Palestinian detainee
Jerusalem24 – At dawn today, a large force of the Israeli army stormed the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, from the entrances to Burqin and Yamoun. The force stormed the home of Palestinian detainee Ayham Kammji, threatening his family with arrest.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli forces stormed the town with about 25 vehicles, and closed the main streets, amid the deployment of reinforced infantry unites among the olive trees located in the area, and prevented vehicles from passing and moving through Wadi Hassan.
Clashes broke out between a group of Palestinians and the Israeli forces during their storming of the town.
According to the father of detained Palestinian, Ayham Kammji, Israeli soldiers stormed their home and threatened them with arrest.
Fouad Kammaji, Ayham’s father, said that “the soldiers stormed the house of my son Imad, who was released only a few days ago, and the intelligence officer called from his phone my son Ahed and asked him to come immediately so that he would not be brought by force.”
“When we arrived, we found the army besieging my sons’ homes and holding women and children in one room, while they held us in another,” he added.
Ahed Kammji, who was released a few days ago, stated that the intelligence officer conducted a field interrogation with him and his brother Imad and threatened them with arrest and beheading if he did not keep calm, adding, “we are used to these practices, and they are a continuation of punishment and pressure on our family since Ayham managed to escape.”
Kammji denounced the Israeli practices that unjustifiably disturbed his family’s life, calling on human rights institutions to put an end to the harassment of the Israeli forces, which has become a daily issue.
