Jerusalem24 – Netanyahu’s era has officially ended. With Lapid and Bennet’s government now sworn into office, Israelis may try and have a sigh of relief at the end of their political turmoil of the past two years. Netanyahu, despite no longer being prime minister still has the largest party in the Knesset, not to forget mentioning several corruption charges against him. But while Israelis can relax now, what of the Palestinians in the West Bank who live under military occupation, or the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who are still besieged by Israel’s army and of course the Palestinians living in Jerusalem. Mohammad Hamayel speaks with Chris Whitman, an expert and observer of Israeli politics to discuss what this new government means for the people who have no say in the matter.
