Abbas calls on factions to return to a serious dialogue
The call came during the opening of the Fatah Revolutionary Council conference
Jerusalem24 – Yesterday evening, the Fatah Revolutionary Council, headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, opened the work of its eighth session, in the Ahmed Al Shugairi’s hall at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of members of the movement’s central committee.
In his speech, at the beginning of the meeting, the President called on the Fatah and Hamas movements, the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Islamic Jihad Movement to immediately return to a serious dialogue around the clock to end the division and build national partnership at all levels to confront the challenges a facing the Palestinian people.
He stressed that the Palestinians will not tire or relent in their great march until the end of the occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He added that the Palestinian Authority is in full contact with Egypt, Jordan, Qatar and the rest of the sister countries and the international community for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and said that the State of Palestine is the legitimate address for reconstruction, and this requires a complete and comprehensive cessation of aggression everywhere on the land of the state.
The President paid tribute to the people in Beita, which has become a model and icon of popular resistance, and a salute to our steadfast people in Ni’lin, Deir Istiya, Beit Dajan, Azzun, Kafr Qaddoum, Masafer Yatta and the Jordan Valley.
