The head of the Minister of Health’s office, Ali Abd Rabbo, revealed yesterday, Friday, that the Ministry’s Epidemiology Committee had raised recommendations, imposing a comprehensive and strict closure, raising capabilities and readiness in hospitals and providing them with medical staff.

Jerusalem24 – Today, Saturday, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh will announce new measures to confront the outbreak of the Corona virus in the governorates of the West Bank.
The spokesman for the Palestinian ministry of Interior, Ghassan Nimer, said, in an interview with “Voice of Palestine” radio, that Shtayyeh’s speech will be at two o’clock in the afternoon, and new measures will be announced in it.
The head of the Minister of Health’s office, Ali Abd Rabbo, revealed yesterday that the Ministry’s Epidemiology Committee had raised recommendations. These include imposing a comprehensive and strict closure, raising capabilities and readiness in hospitals and providing them with more medical staff.
In the wake of the National Epidemiology Committee meeting, the Ministry of Health decided to submit new recommendations to limit the large spread in the number of people infected with the Coronavirus.
Abed Rabbo also added, “In the Epidemiology Committee, from the standpoint of responsibility, we can only make recommendations to take measures to curb the alarming spread in the number of infected people, the rate of admission to hospitals, occupancy in hospital departments, and the rise of the numbers of deaths.”
He stressed that the epidemiological situation at this stage is dangerous, as a result of highly widespread mutations, lack of commitment to preventive measures, and thus the most severe measures are taken; In order not to aggravate the situation that cannot be tolerated any longer.
The head of the Minister of Health’s cabinet also confirmed that, within the current data, the measures in place to limit the spread of the virus are no longer sufficient, as the occupancy rate of beds in hospitals prepared for Corona patients exceeded 90%, and this is a dangerous matter.
