Jerusalem24 – The police have warned citizens and drivers of the need to take utmost care and caution during the coming snowstorm. According to the estimates of the Palestinian Meteorological Department, the country will have a drop in temperature in several areas and will last for several days, punctuated by heavy rains, stormy winds, and expectations of snowfall on the heights.
The Public Relations and Media Department of the Palestinian Police called on drivers to take the utmost care while driving, to maintain an adequate safety distance, not to use the brakes suddenly, to drive in low gear, not to travel at high speed, and to not overtake junctions and turns.
They also warned citizens of the speed of the winds that will accompany the storm, and everything that is subject to winds must be fixed and not to leave the house except for the most urgent necessity, after making sure that the roads are clear. In addition to that, they called on citizens to use safe heating and turn it off when going to sleep and conduct maintenance for their electrical networks.
