And that Palestine is involved in international efforts aimed at eliminating and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

Sulieman explained that this confirms the Palestinian political will to achieve the goals of all humanity, and to achieve international security on the basis of truth and justice. While also stressing the need to reinforce the principle of universality of the agreement in a way that guarantees the compliance of Israel, the occupying power, which uses chemical weapons against our defenseless people under its occupation.

It is worth noting that the State of Palestine won the membership of the Conference’s Credentials Committee after having obtained the support of all the states’ parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention participating in the conference’s work.

In view of the special precautionary measures in the face of the “Corona” pandemic, the statement of the State of Palestine as well as the statements of other countries were published on the organization’s main web pages, without being presented directly in the hall.
