Palestine participates in the work of the 25th session of the OPCW Conference
Palestine joining the agreements that prohibit the spread of WMDs.

Jerusalem24 – Today, Monday, the State of Palestine participated in the opening of the 25th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention. The conference was held at the headquarters of the organization, in The Hague.
In her speech, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the OIC, Ambassador Rawan Suleiman, affirmed Palestine’s pride in joining the agreements that prohibit the spread of weapons of mass destruction. And that Palestine is involved in international efforts aimed at eliminating and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
Sulieman explained that this confirms the Palestinian political will to achieve the goals of all humanity, and to achieve international security on the basis of truth and justice. While also stressing the need to reinforce the principle of universality of the agreement in a way that guarantees the compliance of Israel, the occupying power, which uses chemical weapons against our defenseless people under its occupation.
It is worth noting that the State of Palestine won the membership of the Conference’s Credentials Committee after having obtained the support of all the states’ parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention participating in the conference’s work.
