Israel approves the construction of 2,166 settlement units
The units will be constructed in various parts of the West Bank
Jerusalem24 – Today, Wednesday, the Israeli government approved the construction of 2,166 new settlement units in separate parts of the West Bank.
According to the Hebrew Channel Seven, the Israel Supreme Council for Planning and Building of the Israeli Civil Administration will hold another session tomorrow to approve the construction of thousands of other units, indicating that the construction of 5,000 units will be approved.
These units will be built in most of the settlements in the West Bank, such as Ma’ale Adumim, Beit El, Karni Shimron, Nokdim, Talmon, Gilo and Efrat.
The plans related to the construction of settlement units were approved 8 months after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu froze construction in the settlements, where the decision was taken under pressure from the heads of councils in the settlements.
