Health Ministry: 8 fatalities and 358 new cases of Corona Virus
39 patients are in Intensive Care Units, 14 of which are on respirators
Jerusalem24 – May alKeila, Palestinian Health Minister, announced the registration of 8 new Corona Virus deaths and 358 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours. The deaths were spread out among the different governorates of the West Bank, from Hebron to Qalqilya; with the oldest of the victims being 88 and the youngest being 54.
During a press conference on Wednesday, she also stated that there are 3 new deaths and 68 confirmed cases among Palestinians in Jerusalem.
According the Palestinian Health Ministry, the new cases were spread out as follows:
- Bethlehem (46).
- Gaza Strip (37).
- Hebron (73).
- Jericho (22).
- Jenin (35).
- Nablus (35).
- Qalqilya (9).
- Ramallah and Al Bireh (34).
- Salfit (4).
- Tulkarem (39) .
- Toubas (7).
The minister also stated that there are 39 patients in Intensive Care Units, 14 of which are on respirators. The total number of Corona Virus cases has reached 50,541 cases, while recovery rates are still high at 81.6 percent.
