The director of field hospitals in Gaza Marwan Al-Hams told Al Jazeera that anyone seriously injured in the Gaza Strip is doomed to die due to the lack of resources.
Al-Hams explained that water treatment plants have completely stopped, which poses a particular danger to kidney patients. He also added that “what we are seeing is the occupation’s revenge against our people by permanently halting medical services.” Adding that the lives of approximately 25,000 patients in the Gaza Strip are threatened due to the shortage of food and water.
At dawn on Tuesday, Israel resumed its war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, with a major military escalation that included most areas of the Strip and the targeting of civilians during the pre-dawn meal, resulting in the deaths of more than 400 civilians and the injury of 600 others.
This attack is the largest violation of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States last January.
In early March 2025, the first 42-day phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, which began on January 19, ended.
The government of Benjamin Netanyahu is refusing to initiate the second phase of the agreement, as it seeks to release more Israeli prisoners without fulfilling the commitments of this phase, particularly ending the war of extermination and withdrawing completely from Gaza.
