18-year-old Palestinian shot and killed by Israeli forces, over 30 injured in Nablus

Jerusalem24 – Waseem Nasser Khalifa from Balata refugee camp was killed early Thursday morning, in confrontations with Israeli forces in Joseph’s tomb area in Nablus.

18-year-old Khalifa was shot in the chest, according to the Red Crescent which also reported on at least 30 Palestinians wounded, three of them severely.

Large forces of the Israeli army stormed Al-Quds and Amman Streets, the vicinity of Joseph’s tomb, east of Nablus, and Askar and Balata camps, amid violent confrontations during which live bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs were fired.

The director of ambulance and emergency at the Red Crescent in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, told WAFA that four civilians were shot with live bullets, three in critical condition, and one was hit by a gas canister to the head, and 25 injuries were reported from gas inhalation.

A funeral march for Khalifa took place from the Arab Specialized Hospital to Rafidia Hospital.

Violent confrontations also broke out with Israeli forces in the West Bank cities of Jenin, Al-Bireh and Ramallah. No casualties were reported.
