Israeli Soldiers Vandalize Palestinian Vehicles

Jerusalem24 – Israeli NGO B’tselem published a video clip showing a group of Israeli soldiers vandalizing Palestinian vehicles in a scrap yard in the village of Burqa northwest of Nablus in an incident on April 15th.

The video shows the soldiers purposely vandalizing the cars.

The yard contained several vehicles used for spare parts.

The soldiers were on duty when they entered the scrapyard, proceeding to vandalize a vehicle in good shape by smashing its windows and denting its body.

Ynet reported that the Israeli military spokesperson said that incidents such as this are looked into seriously, and that the soldiers responsible have been dealt with. They also said that the soldiers did not act according to military ethics.

B’Tselem responsed that the soldiers may have not executed orders, however they did act according to the ethics that the leaders of consecutive Israeli governments have promoted through the use of systematic violence against Palestinians.
