Israel arrests Palestinian with Israeli citizenship for alleged incitement

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli police last night arrested and detained former Palestinian Member of Knesset, Jum’aa Al-Zabarqa, for allegedly inciting against the Israeli government during a demonstration in the Negev last March.

Zabarqa was a MK in the Joint List between 2017 and 2019. According to the Israeli newspaper, Israel Hayom, he was interrogated for four consecutive hours about his participation in a demonstration marking Palestinian Land Day; where he gave a speach the police described as “inciteful.”

Al-Zabarqa said that the interrogation was nothing but a failed attempt to stop his activities that defend the Negev and its people and, allow the Jewish right to control those areas completely.
