Tens of demolishing notifications threatening Wadi Al-Joz

Jerusalem24 – Yesterday, Monday, the Israeli occupation municipality notified the demolition of dozens of commercial establishments and shops in the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Local sources said that tens of shop owners in the industrial area in Wadi Al-Joz were surprised with demolishing notifications posted and hung on their shops.

The area consists of tens of shops and garages along the “industrial area” street.

Ismael Al-Kurd, a shop owner, said that these notifications are just the beginning of implement the “Silicon Valley” project on the ruins of tens of years old Palestinian shops and establishments.

Al-Kurd added that the project which was proposed mid-2020, is considered as a 5 years long governmental initiative, with a budget of 2.1 billion shekels. The Silicon Valley project will be built on 200,000 cubic-meters, establishing Hi-Tech companies hotels, and commercial spaces.
