Israeli authorities seize 1500 dunams in the Jordan Valley and turns them into nature reserves

Jerusalem24 – Yesterday, the Israeli Civil Administration decided to turn hundreds of acres of agricultural land into nature reserves in the Jordan Valley.

A local source said, “this decision was officially issued by the so-called Israeli Civil Administration, which are lands located within the borders of the Al-Farsieh and Ain Al-Hilweh area in the Jordan Valley.”

The source also added that, “Initial information indicates that more than 1,500 dunams (370 acres) of these lands have been converted into nature reserves, bringing the number of lands that have been confiscated by the Israeli government in the Jordan Valley into nature reserves so far, 76,000 dunums of land (18780 acres).”

The lands in question are in the vicinity of the Rotem settlement, the owners of these lands are Palestinians who stated that they own all the necessary documents to their lands.
