Gantz: We are ready for new military action in Gaza

Gantz reiterated the Israeli government's conditions for the reconstruction of Gaza by linking them to the return of prisoners and missing persons held by Hamas.

Jerusalem24 – Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said, yesterday evening, Sunday, that his forces are ready for new military action in the Gaza Strip, and that they are already working on more goals.

In an interview with the Israeli “Channel 13,” Gantz warned against Hamas testing the ability of the Israeli army, claiming that the recent operation, “Guardian of the Fences,” achieved its goal. “We do not accept the continued launching of balloons, and we will continue to respond to them by attacking specific targets,” Gantz said.

Gantz also indicated that Israel is determined that the Qatari grant be disbursed through a third party; Either the United Nations, or the Palestinian Authority. The Israeli Defense Minister touched on the Iranian issue, stressing that his government is determined to prevent Iran from becoming nuclear, and that it will work to disrupt its negative activity in the region.
