The Israeli Forces arrested two Jerusalemites on Women’s Day

Under the slogan "Our heritage is our resistance and the identity of our stolen homeland" The Women's Center, in cooperation with the Mount of Olives Club, organized the Palestinian Heritage Day.

Jerusalem24 – On Monday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the director of the Women’s Center in Al-Tur, Ikhlas Sayyad, and Manal Abu Esbitan, during the prevention of an event in the Mount of Olives Club in occupied Jerusalem, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The occupation forces claimed that the arrest of the two women came against the backdrop of organizing the Palestinian Heritage Day to coincide with the Women’s Day.

Eyewitnesses reported to “Safa” agency that the occupation forces stormed the Mount of Olives Club in Al-Tur, and surrounded all participants with the activities of the Palestinian Heritage Day, and prevented them from continuing the activities.

The occupation forces also confiscated the contents of the heritage exhibition.

The Women’s Center, in cooperation with the Mount of Olives Club, organized the Palestinian Heritage Day at the club’s headquarters in Al-Tur, under the slogan “Our heritage is our resistance and the identity of our stolen homeland.”

The day featured an exhibition selling traditional embroideries, food and sweets. It was planned to display traditional artistic performances, such as the popular dabkeh, a fashion show, the Palestinian wedding, and various activities that would last for 5 hours.
