EU calls for investigation into killing of 16-year-old Ghaith Yamin
Jerusalem24– The Office of the European Union Representative for the West Bank and Gaza issued a statement calling for an investigation into the killing of 16-year-old Ghaith Yamin, who was shot in the head by Israeli forces in Nablus in the early hours of Wednesday.
Yamin was shot in the head during confrontations that broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians at the site of Joseph’s Tomb in the eastern part of Nablus. Israeli settlers commonly break into the site under the protection of Israeli forces.
“Saddened by the death of 16 years old Ghaith Yameen after being wounded by ISF [Israeli security forces] gunshot to the head as well as by the injury of 88 Palestinians, including Red Crescent staff, by ISF during violent confrontations in Nablus last night.”

The statement continued, “Children must be protected under all circumstances. This incident must be investigated and full accountability ensured.”
Yamin is the 15th Palestinian child between the ages of 13 and 18 to be killed this year by Israeli forces.
