Armed Settlers to be Present in Sheikh Jarrah in Ramadan

The settlers’ groups have been preparing in the past few days to terrorize the residents of Sheikh Jarrah and its visitors

Jerusalem24 – Armed Israeli settlers, the Hilltop Youth settler group, are organizing to be present in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, during the holy month of Ramadan, under the pretext of protecting Jewish settlers who live in the neighborhood, according to the Israeli broadcasting channel -Kan 11-.

The channel said that the settlers’ groups have been preparing in the past few days to terrorize the residents of Sheikh Jarrah and its visitors, similar to the operations they followed against Palestinians in the occupied al-Lodd city during the last aggression on Gaza.

It’s worth mentioning that hundreds of organized settlers, in May 2021, stormed al-Lodd city and attacked Palestinian homes, fired live bullets on homes, mosques, and vandalized property under the protection of Israeli police.

Last May, a public uprising erupted in the awakening of threatening the Palestinian homes of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood with eviction, displacing dozens of families.

Clashes erupted between Palestinians and settlers in the neighborhood, in parallel with the occupation’s restrictions and suppression of the Palestinians in the Bab al-Amoud area and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and later the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation police forces, which led to military aggression on Gaza.
