General strike observed in the city of Rahat in the Negev

Jerusalem24 – Hundreds of Palestinians in the Negev participated in burying Sanad Al-Hared in the city of Hared.
The 27-year-old father of three was killed by Israeli undercover police forces in Rahat the day before. According to the authorities, Al-Hared initiated the shoot-out, while eye-witness testimonials say that he was unarmed when he was shot.
The funeral procession proceeded from the Abu Siam roundabout area to the Abu Mansour cemetery on foot. Meanwhile, the Israeli police closed Street 264, where several Rahat and the Negev residents and delegations from Galilee, the Triangle, and coastal cities gathered in the mourning tent and the vicinity of the martyr’s house.
The participants in the procession chanted slogans describing the Israeli police as terrorists.
Since the morning hours, a general strike has been observed in the city of Rahat in the occupied Palestinian Negev, mourning Al-Hared.
