The 130 samples do not carry the new mutation
Jerusalem24 – 130 samples suspected of having the omicron mutation in Palestine, were sent yesterday to the Israeli “Tel Hashomer” Hospital for examination and confirmation.
Dr. Kamal Al-Shakhra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, confirmed today that the results of the 130 samples taken at random do not carry the new mutation.
Al-Shakhra said “Until this moment, Palestine is free of the new Omicron, and the results of the 130 samples taken at random are negative.”
He added, “We took samples from tourists in Hebron and Bethlehem, and they did not carry the new mutation.”
pointing out that the risks of the Omicron are in the speed of its spread and the rapid appearance of symptoms.
It’s noteworthy that the percentage of immunity in Palestine has become 42%, 60% in the West Bank , and 27.3% in Gaza.
