Jerusalem24 – Premiere Urgence Internationale issued a report this week regarding Israel’s “De Facto Annexation” of the West Bank. The report presents the adverse effects Israeli policy and actions have on the Palestinians.
“There was an announcement from the Netanyahu government about annexing the occupied West Bank,” says Anthony Dutemple, head of the mission for Premier Urgence Internationale. He added, “actually the annexation has already taken place.”
According to Peace Now, there are about 132 government-approved settlements, and 140 unofficial ones established since the 1990s. These settlements are home to around 400,000 Israelis in the West Bank, with an additional 200,000 Israelis residing in 12 neighborhoods in East Jerusalem.
