An-Najah and PalTel sign a strategic partnership to train communication and digital marketing students
This is based on the importance of the major and Paltal's experience in it..
Jerusalem24 – The Palestinian Telecommunications Company “Paltel”, one of the companies of the Palestinian Telecommunications Group, and the An-Najah National University signed a partnership agreement to train students of the “Communication and Digital Marketing” Major at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. The major was recently introduced by the university.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Zeid, President of An-Najah National University, and Maen Melhem, Director General of Paltel, signed the agreement at the An-Najah University Headquarters on Wednesday 27/10/2021. Present during the signing were Dr. Abdel Salam Al-Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Raed Al-Dabai, Assistant to the President for Community Affairs, Dr. Saed Al-Koni, Dean of the Faculty of Economics And Social Sciences, Dr. Sam Faqha, Head of Marketing Department, Dr. Riyad Abdel Karim, Coordinator of the Practical Training Center on the part of the university, as well as Suleiman Abu Hijleh, Director of Human Resources Department, Ahmad Alsarghali, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, Moataz Tufaha, Director of Strategic Sales, and Basil Al-Masry, Training Director of Paltel.
Zaid stressed that the launch of the communication and digital marketing major came in response to the needs of the market and the requirements of companies and institutions of all kinds and specializations. It has become dependent on e-marketing and digital technology in carrying out its business and achieving its goals, and is looking forward to the least costly and most effective solutions.
Zaid added, “this major needed experts and specialists in the field of digital marketing, technological solutions and electronic media to develop its courses and train its students, as it depends primarily on both practical practice and global experience. This is what Paltel has, as its cadres are considered the most efficien and experience in this field. In addition to having previously trained large numbers of students, enabling them to enter the labor market and providing them with distinctive professional skills and experience. Therefore, this cooperation comes today through a qualitative agreement to support and train communication and digital marketing students by experts and specialists from Paltel and with an approved and joint certificate from Paltel and An-Najah University.”
Dr. Saed Al-Koni, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at An-Najah University, explained that the agreement will entail the provision of a series of training meetings within An-Najah University and the headquarters of “Paltel” from the first academic year continuing throughout the academic years with accredited training hours. It will also include various fields related to the major of communications and digital marketing, that combines the theoretical and practical side to give the student an accredited certificate at the end of the training. This all takes place in line with the universities’ vision to invest in the practical aspect during the university study period.
In turn, Melhem stressed the importance of this agreement in strengthening the strategic relationship between Paltel and An-Najah National University and its role in developing and training its students. He also spoke on how the training program designed by Paltel will enable students of the new major to acquire new and practical skills in the world of communications and digital marketing, by training them on the strategies and methods of marketing used in Paltel through a series of intensive training meetings presented by digital marketing experts in Paltel. At the end of the program, the student will obtain a certificate that will support his or her CV when entering the labor market.
Melhem indicated that Paltel’s interest in embracing the energy of youth and their pioneering projects stemming from its belief in the youth’s ability to impact change. Therefore, it they aim to provide practical training for students in different majors in order to incorporate them into work environments in the companies; in order to complete their theoretical training with practical experience. This in turn provides them with an exceptional training experience that will qualify them into working life, where the training program in Paltel is considered one of the strongest, more diverse and experienced programs in Palestine.
For his part, Ahmad Alsarghali, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Paltel, said that the company has invested in its staff and gained international expertise through training in major international companies. He also stressed that the Paltel team will devote its efforts to transfer its practical experience over continuous years to students; where they will be trained in e-marketing, public relations, writing skills, branding, digital content industry, event management and e-sports. They will also support their development in areas related to the major of communications and digital marketing.
