Family of hunger striker Miqdad Al-Qawasmi kicked out of Kaplan Hospital
His mother stated that his health has deteriorated to a dangerous level
Jerusalem24 – The family of Palestinian detainee Miqdad al-Qawasma, who has been on hunger strike for 94 days, and who has been lying in the Israeli Kaplan Hospital, stated that his health condition has worsened and he has entered a very dangerous stage. They also appealed to different groups to stand by them and save their son’s life.
An urgent appeal by his family stated that “the health of the hunger-striking prisoner, Miqdad Al-Qawasmi, has deteriorated seriously and that his limbs are all shivering. Medical staff at the hospital guarded by Israeli forces entered his room and expelled his family from the hospital.”
Al-Qawasmi’s mother, said that there were signs of yellowing on the face, whiteness of the lips, high temperatures, and rapid heartbeat after she visited him today at Kaplan Hospital.
She added that he suffers from severe shivers, back pain, and tension in the nerves, noting that she does not trust the Israeli hospital and its medical staff.
She called on Jordanian King Abdullah II, and the Palestinian Authority, to intervene to save her son’s life and transfer him to a Jordanian or a Palestinian hospital, amid her doubts about the medicine provided to him in the Israeli one.
She concluded, “My son wants life like any young man, but they did not give him the opportunity, and they want to imprison him whenever they want.”
