Jerusalem24 – The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Commission said that the Israeli Prisons Service deliberately practices according to them, a complete set of procedures and physical and psychological punishments that violate all human rights against Palestinian detainees.
The commission also claims that the Israeli Prison Service is exploiting the incident of the Gilboa 6, to escalate and invent new methods of torture against all prisoners. In particular against the six detainees: Mahmoud Al-Ardah, Yaqoub Al-Qadri, Muhammad Al-Ardah, Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, Munadil Nafi`at and Ayham Kammaji.
The Commission revealed in a report, today, Wednesday, what the prisoner Muhammad Al-Ardah is subjected to inside the isolation cells of Ashkelon Prison. He is held in a narrow cell that lacks the minimum necessities of life, and is prevented from using electrical tools and is not allowed to go outside for recess, in addition to the inspections that are carried out on a daily basis several times by the special units of the Prisons Service. His isolation was renewed for a period of 6 months, during which he is deprived of the canteen and visits from his family.
As for the prisoner, Ayham Kammaji, who is in the isolation at Ohli Kedar Prison, according to the commission, the Prison service imposed a fine of 2,850 shekels on him, in addition to another fine of 540 shekels.
Regarding the conditions of isolation, Kammji stated, through the commission’s lawyer, that the conditions of isolation are very difficult and retaliatory actions are practiced against him in all matters of life, and penalties have been imposed on him represented by depriving him of family visits and the canteen for a period of 6 months, like the rest of the prisoners. “Two days ago, one of the warders told me that if they could cut off the air for me, they would do so without hesitation,” Kammaji added.
