Al-Kaila: No infection with the new strain of Corona has been diagnosed

Jerusalem24 – May Al-Kila, Minister of Health, said today, Wednesday, that no infection has been diagnosed in Palestine with the new strain of Corona virus, which the Israeli Health announced the discovery of yesterday, called (AY4.2).

In a statement to Voice of Palestine Radio, Al-Kaila pointed out that there is a decrease in the number of injuries that are recorded daily, pointing at the same time to the high number of deaths, which indicates that the Delta strain is still widespread and affects more young people.

She indicated that an 18-year-old girl died from Covid despite not not having any prior diseases and staying in the hospital for two weeks to receive treatment.

The Minister of Health called on citizens to adhere to preventive measures, including wearing a mask, whether for those who are vaccinated or not.

Al-Kaila pointed out that a number of deaths were recorded for citizens who received two doses of the vaccine, noting that vaccination protects approximately 94% of infection, but a percentage remains indicating the possibility of infection of vaccinated individuals with the virus.
