Palestinian detainee suffers from severe beatings during arrest
Jerusalem24 – The Muhja Al-Quds Foundation reported last night, Wednesday, that the 35-year-old prisoner Ayham Fouad Nayef Kammaji, from the town of Kafrdan, West of Jenin, suffers from the effects of severe beatings he was subjected to by the Israeli forces during his re-arrest. As he suffers from a broken thumb and one of his teeth as well.
Ayham Kammaji, confirmed in a message, that the Israeli soldiers, during his re-arrest, severely beat him, giving him severe bruises on his face, back and feet, which led to breaking one of his thumbs and one of his teeth. He also pointed out that the Israeli authorities did not provide him with any treatment until now, nor did they even show him to the prison clinic.
In his letter, he indicated that he spent 12 days in solitary confinement at the Jalameh interrogation center in very bad conditions, as he was interrogated by 20 investigators from Israeli intelligence. After the investigation ended with him, the Israeli Prison’s Service recently transferred him to the isolation of “Ohlikidar” prison, where he is staying. He is currently alone in a solitary confinement cell and does not have anything, and penalties have been imposed against him, namely, a two-month ban on family visitations and a two-month ban on the canteen, in addition to a fine of 3,500 shekels.
“Mahjat Al-Quds” indicated that the Israeli Prison’s Service transferred Iyad Ibrahim Hassan Jaradat, from the town of Al-Silah Al-Harithiya in the Jenin governorate, from the Jalameh investigation center to the isolation cells of the “Ohalkidar” prison. He is one of the people accused by Israel of providing assistance and covering up for the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison on the sixth of last September.
