Shots fired at Dotan Checkpoint near Ya’bad

Jerusalem24 – Sunday evening, gunmen opened fire on the Israeli forces at the “Mavo Dotan” checkpoint, adjacent to the town of Ya`bad, southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that masked men opened fire on the soldiers who are deployed near the checkpoint. The soldiers responded in kind, and fired flares in the sky over the area.

The residents stated that, at about eight o’clock, the Israeli forces began imposing a siege on the town of Ya’bad and closed its entrances with earth mounds, and also deployed large reinforcements from the army and special units among the trees and the plains in the areas near the town, especially the village of Kevert.
