Arrests and confrontations in Bedou and other towns northwest of Jerusalem

Jerusalem24 – Today, Monday, the Israeli forces launched a campaign of arrests in some villages and towns northwest of the occupied city of Jerusalem, one day after the killing of 3 young men by the Israeli military in the town of Beit Anan after besieging them in a cave on the outskirts of the village.

According to local sources, a large Israeli force stormed the town of Bedou, where the three slain Palestinians live, amid violent confrontations with young men who set tires on fire and threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the forces which stormed several houses.

A house of a resident of the Al-Sahel area in Bedou caught fire after the Israeli forces threw bombs in the area, while another bomb exploded in the yard of a citizen’s house in the town, but no injuries were reported.

Local sources indicated that the Israeli forces arrested 7 young men, including 4 in the town of Bedou, another from the town of Qatana, and others from the town of Beit Ijza, noting that some of them were arrested after they were summoned for an interview following yesterday’s events.
