Jerusalem24 – Today at dawn, the Israeli army announced the arrest of the two prisoners who succeeded in extracting their freedom from Gilboa prison, Ayham Kammaji and Munadil Nafi’at, after besieging ahouse they were hiding within in Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank. This happened as armed clashes erupted with the soldiers in the vicinity of the place.
Fouad Kammaji, the father of the prisoner, Ayham Kammaji, said, that Ayham had called him a while ago and told him that he was trapped inside a house where there were civilians, and that he would surrender himself for their safety because his life is not more precious than theirs.
Local sources stated that a young man was shot in the foot by the Israeli soldiers during the clashes that erupted with the Israeli army at dawn today in Jenin, after large forces, accompanied by undercover special units, stormed the city from several points. The Israeli “Shin Bet” confirmed the arrest of the two.
Six prisoners managed to wrest their freedom from Gilboa prison by digging a tunnel underneath the prison. Israel arrested 4 of them in the city of Nazareth, after 4 days of freedom.
The Israeli media has focused extensively on Jenin in the past few days, especially after the Israeli forces came under fire in all their locations during extensive search operations along the seperation wall. In addition to the fact that the Palestinian factions in the Jenin refugee camp had invited the two prisoners to go to Jenin for protection.
