18 Palestinians injured in during protests in Gaza
Jerusalem24 – 18 Palestinians were injured, yesterday evening, as Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at the demonstrators participating in the “Night Confusion” activities for the second night in a row on the Gaza Strip borders.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, only one injury was caused by live ammunition, while the other injuries were minor by tear gas and various shrapnel.
According to local sources, the Israeli forces used “Quad-Copter” aircraft to launch a barrage of tear gas canisters at the demonstrators in the Abu Safiya area, East of Jabalia. Causing many of the protesters to suffocate.
Medical sources indicated that a number of young men were directly hit by the bombs, while a number of paramedics were injured while trying to treat the young men.
Hundreds gathered near the border fence east of Jabalia as part of the renewed “night confusion” activities, where young men set rubber tires on fire and threw local explosive devices at the security wall, as well as launching incendiary and explosive balloons.
