Nasser Abu Hamid suffers from a mass in the left region of his lung

Jerusalem24 – Today, Wednesday, the Prisoners and Former-Detainees Affairs Commission said that tomorrow, Thursday, a biopsy will be taken of the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, to determine the nature of a mass in the left region of his lung, and it is also expected that an endoscopy will be performed on him after the biopsy.

The Commission stated in a press statement that the prisoner, Abu Hamid, was transferred last Monday to the Israeli “Barzilai” Hospital, after a severe deterioration in his health. Prompting his transfer from Ashkelon prison to Barzilai Hospital.

They also pointed out that Abu Hamid lost approximately 5 kg, and suffers from severe headaches that have affected his appetite, and caused him to lose weight and general fatigue in his body.

It is noteworthy that the 49-year old prisoner, Abu Hamid, from Al-Amari camp in al-Bireh, has been detained since 2002 and is sentenced to seven life sentences and 50 years. He is among five brothers facing life sentences in detention, their home has been demolished several times by the Israeli military forces and their mother was deprived of visiting them for several years.
