Mekorot reduces the quantities of water in Hebron Governorate

Water Authority warns against thirsting the citizens

Jerusalem24 – The Water Authority denounced the continuation of the Israeli company “Mekorot” to cut off the water supplying the Deir Shaar water line, the main source feeding the Hebron Governorate in general and the south in particular, and the resulting loss of large quantities of water, amounting to more than 40,000 cups.

The Water Authority explained in a statement today, Monday, that the frequent interruptions that the company deliberately cause cause great confusion in the process of distributing water at the wholesale level, as well as to local bodies supplying individuals.

The Water Authority warned against the “Mekorot” company continuing to cut water from the lines feeding the Palestinian communities, which leads to thirst for the citizens, stressing that its specialized teams had contacted the company last week, and received promises that such interruptions would not occur, but the matter was repeated today and led to an increase in the crisis. water, especially during this period of successive rises in temperatures.

The Water Authority called on citizens to be patient and take the necessary measures and precautions to rationalize the consumption of water quantities to get out of this crisis.
