The government will not lockdown the West Bank, but focus on vaccination campaign
Jerusalem24 – Palestinian News website, Ma’an, reported that the Emergency Committee overseeing the Pandemic in Palestine will hold a meeting headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, tomorrow, in light of the outbreak of a new wave of the Covid-19 virus.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that most of the infections with the Corona virus are for people who have not received vaccinations so far.
Anonymous sources told Ma’an, that that the meeting, tomorrow, will not issue a decision to impose a lockdown in the Palestinian governorates during this period at least, as happened during the previous waves of Corona. However, there will be a focus on a wide-scale vaccination campaign in all institutions. The campaign will included Palestinian universities and schools, and there will be an emphasis on wearing masks and social distancing.
