Israeli authorities demolish homes and facilities in Umm al-Fahm
Arab towns and communities are witnessing an escalation in the demolition of homes
Jerusalem24 – This Sunday morning, the Israeli authorities demolished homes and facilities under construction in Umm al-Fahm, under the pretext of building without a permit.
According to the website, “Arabs48,” the Israeli police reinforced with special units, raided the area of Sweis and Wadi al-Harmiya in Umm al-Fahm, and closed the area. The forces then besieged it, imposed a cordon on it and carried out the demolition of two houses belonging to the Jabarin family.
The Israeli police prevented residents and owners of homes and facilities from entering the area affected by the demolition, and provided protection to dozens of bulldozers and tracked vehicles that began carrying out the demolition.
Last May, the Israeli authorities issued demolition orders for homes under construction in the city of Umm al-Fahm. The decisions and notifications included 25 homes under construction in Sweis and Wadi al-Harmiya.
Arab towns and communities are witnessing an escalation in the demolition of homes, shops and industrial workshops under the pretext of non-licensing, as the construction and organization committees refrain from issuing permits for homes and accelerate demolitions.
